RECREATIONAL SOCCER DIVISION
DIVISION 3
All teams are co-ed
SPRING age is AS OF APRIL 1st, you must be FIVE by APRIL 1st
FALL age is AS OF AUGUST 1st, you must be FIVE by AUGUST 1st
LEAGUE IS RECREATIONAL AND NOT INSTRUCTIONAL
This level of soccer focuses on dribbling , kicking, defense, offense and passing
Child will also learn the basic concept of soccer, its rules, and how the game is played
Game will be 4 v 4 (NO goalie)
Field will be set up with the goals on the top of the goalie box
There will be 1 game played per time slot
6 x 4 goals will be used
SIZE 4 Soccer Ball is used
HEADING OF THE BALL IS NOT ALLOWED
SLIDE TACKLING IS NOT ALLOWED
This concept of play is also based on the US YOUTH SOCCER Small Sided Game Initiative
NO SCORES OR STANDINGS ARE KEPT AT THIS AGE LEVEL
THERE ARE NO PLAYOFF GAMES AT THIS LEVEL
Teams meet ONCE a week for practice either from *5-6 or 6-7pm @Bunker Hill Park
*time is dependent on coaches preference
All games are played on Saturday morning starting at 9:30am @ Bunker Hill Park
Games are broken up into 4- 10 min quarters
ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
CLEATS
SHIN GUARDS
SIZE 4 SOCCER BALL
PARENTS please NOTE to please be on time for all games preferably 10 minutes prior to the start of the game. Being on time allows for games to be finished in their slotted times. Games will not go over 1 hour of playing time
